Death of Sanders (~2012 Male Regular Columbian Boa)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sanders, the ~ 2012 male Regular Columbian Boa Constrictor, and het albino. He was rescued by a friend of mine who has a rescue in Castlegar and who in turn had rescued it from someone who had gone a long time without feeding him or giving him proper care. Sanders was put in our care as he needed quite a bit of attention and he was quite ill from when we picked him up in Salmo, BC. Sanders was found dead in his tank, having gone peacefully in his sleep. It is believed the cause of his passing was intestinal shut down. Sanders was named such due to a black mustache shaped pattern on his upper lip and a black triangle pattern on his lower lip, resembling that of colonel Sanders of the famous chicken franchise KFC. Sanders will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
