Autopsy of Casper (~2013 Male Pastel Ball Python)

After patiently waiting in the freezer for a proper funeral, it was decided that Casper would be a good candidate for science and research. With the help of Phil's Noodle Pit's favorite vet, Chris Nugent, Casper's body was opened for a post mortem autopsy. The goal was to try and identify what caused him to die. Although nothing obvious was found during the autopsy, the cause of death was thought to be either a stroke, a tumor in the spinal chord, or something that attacked the nervous tissues. There was no way of getting any more accurate without running microscopic studies on his entire nervous system. The good news however is that he wasn't affected by an infection or something that could have been transferred to any other snake at the Noodle Pit. Thank you Chris for your time and devotion to the welfare of the animals in my care.
