Intake of Wild Rubber Boa
In the evening of Sept. 4th 2016, Someone knocked on my door with a tiny snake in their hands. to my surprise it was a yearling rubber boa which are both illegal to own or to release in the province of BC. The advised me that the snake was rescued from a construction site and it had come from Moyie area, and that they had tried to feed it to no avail. I accepted the snake and quickly followed up with the BC Conservation Office as Phil's Noodle Pit did not have the required permits to hold a wild snake at that time. I was given permission to examine it, get it back to health and release it as soon as possible within 4 weeks before the winter season.
