Following receiving this yearling Rubber Boa on September 4th 2016, and after following up with the Conservation Office of BC to get permission to rehabilitate this little guy, I followed up with a veterinarian who unfortunately gave this snake a poor prognosis. The snake had some old scars and refused to eat. I did all I could and manage to get the snake re-hydrated. The rubber boa was released on Oct. 3rd 2016 in a safe location near Jim Smith Lake with the permission of a Conservation Officer in Cranbrook. He was released at the warmest part of the day in a safe location with water nearby. We hope it survived and is doing well and are confident w

e gave it the best chance it had to survive.
